greenwich 0` 00' 00''

The national maritime museum.

Me and some wooden ship. I believe greenwich was the HQ of the Navy of the British Empire. Maybe it still is... there is a university of greenwich. but i am not sure.
Nice and great historical place. Makes you think of Lord Nelson and the Battle of Trafalgar. As well as the navy that made the vast british empire possible during its height in 1921.

Singapore!! 103`40' E

Me with one foot on the west hemisphere and the other foot on the east hemisphere!

Nice autume leaves and erm... no, that is not the eiffel tower.

A clock and some standard for a yard, a foot, 6 inches and an inch...
Well, it is not surprising that it was the british who had to fix the prime meridian. With such a huge navy and foreign terretories, it was important to have accurate maps and an accurate way to know where you are on that map. If not you will end up in holland... aka hor-landed. i think all this happened in the 16 and 17 hundreds... honestly, i was quite impressed with the naval and navigational achievements of the english... sometimes, i believe all these people of the past really have nothing better to do den paint, decorate buildings, war with one another and look at stars. but i am glad that they did. it got the human race to where it is today.
It was guy fawkes day eve too. and went to watch fireworks. haha... had the best time of my life... we were so close to the fireworks that it was so in-your-face. excellent show. lasted a full 25 min... cant wait for next year. and it was all free. haha... hmm... am i a student or a tourist?? both... one is a weekday job, the other a week end job... and i like both of them... thank god that i chose to study in the UK, reading mech eng in imperial.
Went to primark too... both 2 jeans and a sweater for 25 quid... cheap man... anyway... happy guy fawkes day/ bonfire night/fireworks night....
