school...

Ok, here are some pics of hyde park. The park just behind Imperial. The golden statue is the statue of King Albert, which is a tribute to him, I guess. its also affectionally called uncle albert, and it is a landmark. haha, played floorball infront of uncle albert today. Damn shiok, the climate here is like cool and the air is not dry. so can play like mad and is not as tiring as playing in Singapore. I dun know but i feel that i am getting used to the climate. Its like getting warmer. or maybe, it really is warmer. Anyway, my room now is at a nice temperature of 21.5 degrees C. Dun you think that uncle albert looks like a hindu shrine? haha... so gaudy. But he was the emperor of India anyway. So... yeah... justifies the hindu look. haha

Well, school proper has started. Yup, it has started. lectures and tutorials and a lab tomorrow. but it is better den JC. tutorials are like so independent. You just go there to ask questions, its like a do it at your own pace, at your own time, do whatever you think you should do. my senior just told me that the top student of mech eng will get 500 quid! that is like so cool.. 500 quid.. S$1500!!! Anyway, I really glad that i took mech eng. It as all the subjects that i like! even those that I did not have the chance to study due to the rigid JC system. Like design, mechanics, using heavy machines to drill and cut, drawing and stuff. Of course there will be books and notes and formulars and stuff to study. But on the bright side it is kinda like D & T in secondary school. But a lot more stuff and a lot more theories and maths. Which is great. Very hands-on... i hope. Its so much better than JC where the only things you get to do is like watch chemicals turn green, wash test tubes, use a stop watch and stare at a pendulum... bleah... should have gone to poly.=p
