Well, my family came over the last week to see me and london?? nothing much to see since it was their second time here anyway... hmm... always good to have family with you... yup... good to see that ah ma is till strong at her age... and thanx for bringing over all the things from singapore as well as cash!! never ate so much in a week for a long time... and good food too... especially when parents are always rich... and food in london is expensive... haha... need to go gym... starting to feel lathargic already... need to get some blood pumping... haha...
Quite sad that the week they were here, the weather sux... but today, after they left... its bright and sunny!! happy weather in winter is rare. absolutely.
got me saxophone, backpack, some pots and pans (i am forced to cook in london, where kopitiams are a lacking) and 2 CDs... lifesong live by casting crowns was excellent... really touches your heart, lots of good music and truth in it... destination by yellow ren sounds cheap... sorry but honestly, it dissapoints... maybe its because i dislike chinese songs, and very likely because i heard it after casting crowns... no fight... destination was destined to lose... time to put back the casting crowns dvd...
The best thing about having parents around is their wallets!! haha... but its true... with my own limited allowance, i end up having to do my own financial management, having to count my deficit and credit... and honestly, i hate counting money... i hate all these nitty grity details of dollars and cents, pounds and pennys... with parents... nothing to worry about... if you like it, and you think that its worth it, den buy it... also, travelling with a credit card just makes so much more sense... i personally hate spending money... somehow i always want to make the most of my money... i will spend it only if i think its worth it... but many things in this world are just over priced... so much money which i feel is spent on marketing and branding and not on quality and research... disgusting... den again... money, as in liquid currency, is worth nothing until you spend it... it is conflicting... becasue as much as i want to spend it all, i hate to do so... i mean... how can you be happy spending on something knowing full well that it could be better used... somewhere else.?. haizz... i guess there is nothing wrong in putting your excess money in deposits and investment schemes and what-have-yous instead... afterall, if you dun need to spend it, den at least let the bank invest and grow the money for you... we live in a material world, and it is costing us more den just our money... if money does not make you happy, den get rid of it... haha... easier said den done... simply because money is security... hmmm... my love-hate realtionship with money... : cant live without it... just wishing that i could...
