church

Well, went to KT (kensington temple) for my first sunday in london. But last sunday, i decided to go to HTB (holy trinity brompton) instead because its nearer and i am lazy. The teaching at HTB was basically an anti-atheist message. I say teaching and not preaching because the service message felt like a biblical lecture/teaching rather than a powerful sermon. I was kinda disappointed. Because it once again ended up as a counter to richard dawkins. This must stop. 'The god delusion' is only a book by a man. Its a book by an atheist supporting atheism, which is invariably biased and which is to be totally expected. I basically heard the same old arguments all over again... boring... yawns... richard dawkins is so last year. His witty little book has attacked and offended much of the christian world. And he has gotten an equally vocal backlash from the church world wide. Now that thats over, can we please leave that poor old professor alone and get on with our life? our spiritual life? There is alot more to be learned from reading the bible than arguing with dawkins. What i am basically saying, is that next week i will probably be at KT. =) Sermons should be empowering and not mere reasoning. I am a christian not because of science, but because of everything science is not. Anyway as an engineer-to-be, there is undoubtedly too much science in my life as it is already. cheers.....
